Liam Gallagher's Big Apple plans

Liam Gallagher wants to move to New York.

The Oasis rocker wants to follow in the footsteps of his late idol John Lennon and relocate to the Big Apple with wife Nicole Appleton when his children have grown up.

Liam - who has a son Gene, seven, with Nicole and an eight-year-old son Lennon with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, as well as a 10-year-old daughter Molly from a brief affair with British singer Lisa Moorish - told Q magazine: "I love that city, I buzz off it. Nic' was born in Canada, but then she lived there for five years. That's the next step for me. I want to go to a place where I can just be me."Sponsored Links:

John Lennon moved to the US city in 1971 and was tragically shot dead outside the Dakota apartment building where he lived by deranged fan Mark David Chapman in 1980.Sponsored Links:

Although he plans to move, Liam is still struggling to finish decorating his new house in Henley, Oxon.

He added: "We've done up one room and can't f***ing decide what to do with the rest. It's f***ing doing my head in!"
