Penelope Cruz "can't wait" for her feet to start bleeding on the set of her new movie. The Spanish actress, who studied classical ballet for 10 years, was thrilled to land a role in musical Nine' as it will allow her to spend hours dancing. She said: "I can't wait to start - I am so excited. It will be hours of dancing, hours of singing and I can't wait to have my feet bleeding again, like when I was a dancer, because I know that feeling."
Penelope also revealed learning to speak English when she was 19 was "painful" and is still trying to grasp the language. The 34-year-old beauty said: "I wanted to be able to work in other places, not just in my country, so I learned English late and when I was 23 I got my first movie in English, 'Hi-Lo Country' with Stephen Frears, and I learned my lines phonetically.
"I didn't have any command of the language and it was very painful because I didn't know what people were saying. It was very frustrating and that pushed me to spend time studying. "I'm happy that nobody complains about my accent any more and I worked hard for that and I am still working on it."
